Taking care of yourself is difficult at times. When everything around you feels like it is falling apart, nothing is going right or the way it should be or when that curve ball that you thought might come one day finally arrives.
I’ve struggled daily for months through the grief of losing my husband. It hasn’t been easy and the pain from it doesn’t get better. What does get better is how you handle it and what you do.
I found that one of the best ways when you are really struggling is to just focus on the things that need to get done. Do the routine things, get up, make the bed, get dressed, have breakfast …. do the things that need to get you through the day and keep doing them. Routine is self care. No one else can do this for you, only you…. take care of you xx
